Yorkshire Water is a water supply and treatment utility servicing West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, the East Riding of Yorkshire, part of North Lincolnshire, most of North Yorkshire and part of Derbyshire. The company was previously part of the Yorkshire Water Authority, which was privatized in 1989.

Yorkshire Water says it will call you back within 30 minutes, and that its customer service agents are available Monday to Friday between 8AM and 7.30PM and on Saturdays between 9AM and 4.30PM. If you’re struggling to pay your water bill, Yorkshire Water says it will try and find ways to help. For this, you need to telephone its bill payment issues department on 0345 1 299 299. That number is staffed from Monday to Friday between 8AM and 8PM and on Saturdays from 9AM to 3PM.

After you open the Yorkshire Water website at www.yorkshirewater.com, the first thing you will see on the top right of the page is a link for its contacts page and a life chat system. Clicking on the ‘contact us’ link produces a range of options and FAQs. The first option is a ‘request a call back’ form (see above) Other buttons on this page deal with bill paying, what to do if you are moving address, one to give advice of checking the appearance of your water, another on what to do if your water has an unusual taste or smell, and one which gives information on problems with water services in your area. The website home page has sections for households, businesses, retailers and developers, each of which has online forms you can send to the company.
