Contacting Trainline by Phone
The Trainline customer service phone number is 0871 244 1545 or 0333 202 2222. These lines are open from 8am to 10pm daily. If you have a business account, phone 0870 3333 555. This line is open from 8am to 6pm on weekdays.
0870 and 0871 numbers are telephone numbers that are charged at higher rates due to the inclusion of a surcharge to pay for the service being provided. Special two-part charging arrangements apply when calling these numbers. The first part of the call cost is your own phone company’s standard per-minute ‘access charge’.
The second part is a variable ‘service charge’ which benefits the organization you are calling. They are responsible for advising you of the rate that applies before you call. The total per-minute cost of a call to a 0870 or 0871 number will typically be anywhere from 8p to 68p, plus a per-call charge of up to 13p. These calls are not compatible with free “inclusive minutes” allowances.
Numbers starting with 0333 are neither premium rate or freephone numbers. Calling an 0333 number costs exactly the same as calling a friend or neighbour on their home phone. Phone tariffs that come with inclusive minutes or ‘free’ calls to landlines include calls to 0333 numbers in exactly the same way as for normal landline numbers starting 01 or 02.
