The SAAS website address is www.saas.gov.uk. At the top of the home page, you will find a search box which links you to relevant parts of the site – for example keying in ‘nursing grants’ takes you to a general information page, and to forms for nursing grants. If you can’t find what you need on the website, you can contact SAAS through its online email system, by phone or by writing to, or going in person, to its office: SAAS, Saughton House, Broomhouse Drive, Edinburgh, EH11 3UT. The FAQs section links you to answers for nine of the most frequently asked questions. A key one is residency enquiries. To be eligible for SAAS funding you need to be a Scottish resident and we will not treat you as being ordinarily resident in Scotland if your main purpose in coming here has been to receive full-time education, it says.
