Calling an 0345 number costs exactly the same as calling a friend or neighbour on their home phone. Phone tariffs that come with inclusive minutes or ‘free’ calls to landlines include calls to 0345 numbers in exactly the same way as for normal landline numbers starting 01 or 02. If you don’t have any “free minutes” with your landline package, you will typically be charged up to 10p per minute. This can vary significantly depending on the day and the time you are making the call. If you call from a mobile and you don’t have any ‘free minutes’ left, the cost of calling an 0345 number will typically be between 10p and 40p per minute.
