CITB or the Construction Industry Training Board is funded by a government-ordered levy on the construction industry in England, Scotland and Wales. It works with industry to encourage training, which helps build a safe, professional and fully qualified workforce. The support and funding provided by CIBT helps companies to improve skills, increase their competitiveness.

Contact CITB by phone
For CITB general enquiries please its customer service team on 0344 994 4400. That telephone number is staffed Mondays through Thursdays from 8.45AM to 5PM, and on Fridays between 9AM and 4PM. For the Construction Plant Competence Scheme, call 0844 815 7274 Mondays to Thursdays between 8AM and 5PM, or between 9AM and 4PM on Fridays. For the Construction Skills Certification Scheme call 0344 994 4777 between 8AM and 6PM Mondays to Fridays. To organize a Health, safety and environment test call 0344 994 4488. For levy and grant information, telephone 0344 994 4455. For information on how to take on an apprentice there are three numbers, dependent on where you are located. For England, call 0344 994 4010, for Scotland call 0344 994 8800 and for Wales call 0344 994 7000. For telephone enquiries about the CITB’s National Construction College call 0344 994 4433 from Monday to Thursday between 8.45AM and 5PM and on Fridays between 9AM and 4PM. For individuals who need replacement training certificates, help in using CITB search engines or finding an approved training centre, you should also call 0344 994 4133, during the same hours as above.

The CITB website, www.citb.co.uk hosts a range of online contact forms you can use to contact its staff. For example, if you have any feedback you will find an online form of the feedback page. CITB says it wants to hear your views and says you will receive a response from within 10 working days.
